Ganges River – Varanasi – Hindistan

Varanasi / India March 2017

The religious rituals we encounter on our journeys constitute one of our important photography subjects… We often photograph these rituals in the morning and evening hours on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi, India…

Thousands of people participate in these rituals, which take place by bathing, praying, burning incense and candles in the Ganges River.

Creating limited depth of field, working with narrow-angle lenses, simplifying our subject with viewing height and shooting angle are some of these topics…

In this photo, when I saw the young girl doing her personal cleaning in the background while she was doing her personal cleaning and praying in the background of the Hindu, I immediately switched to a shooting angle where the two elements would not intersect each other. I worked.

I took the shot by choosing the focus point over the person in front. Of course, as in all photographs, I chose the strongest emotion by taking a few shots one after the other.
